It was a record-breaking day Sunday at the Ironman 70.3 in Calgary.
Leading the charge was Denmark's Rasmus Henning, 36, who set a new mark of 3:51:02 as he came in first overall. Henning's time was 4:26 faster than the previous best, set by Tim O'Donnell in 2009.
Henning also set a new mark for the fastest Run Course time, besting Grant Burwash's 2010 mark of 1:15:55 by 47 seconds.
The fastest woman of the day was Magali Tisseyre, 35, of St. Savueur, Quebec. Tisseyre led all women with a total time of 4:17:24, 17th overall.
A new record was also set by Australian Joseph Lampe with a Swim Course time of 22:47, beating the old mark of 23:08 set by Brian Fleischman in 2010.
On the Bike, Tom Lowe of Great Britain set a new mark of 2:06.53, over two minutes faster than previous record holder Trev Williams' time of 2:09:06 set in 2009.
